EMBRACE THE CHRISTMAS FEELING IN THE CITY

PORT MORESBY: City Manager Ravu Frank is appealing to the general public to embrace the Christmas mood in the city as Port Moresby gears up for Christmas.

Port Moresby is once again appropriately lit up with an array of Christmas lights and decorations to welcome the festive season to the city.

“More in particular, we want to create an atmosphere of festivity in the city and in the process instill in the minds of the residents the spirit of Christmas.” Mr. Frank said.

And while appealing to every resident of the city to appreciate the air of Christmas in the city, the City Manager strongly appealed to the residents to take ownership and refrain from vandalizing the Christmas lights and decorations.

“NCDC will not tolerate any form of deliberate destruction to the Christmas lights and the related decorations.”

“Anyone vandalizing, stealing or damaging Christmas light and the related decorations in public space in the city will be arrested and prosecuted under the relevant laws on willful destruction to public property,” Mr. Frank emphasized.

He urged residents to support the cause for a meaningful celebration of Christmas in the city in peace and harmony.

“I appeal to everyone in the city to enjoy the lights and appreciate the joyous and wonderful festive atmosphere it is creating in our city and in all of us,” the City Manager said.
