KOKOPO-VUNAMAMI URBAN TOWN AUTHORITY LEARNS FROM NCDC'S REVENUE GENERATION AND WASTE MANAGEMENT

A delegation from the Kokopo-Vunamami Urban Town Authority in East New Britain Province visited the City Hall to gain insights into NCDC's revenue generation and waste management practices.

 

The delegation, consisting of the Lord Mayor Hon Isidore Bonga, City Manager Freddy Lemeki, Town Engineer David Boga, and Accountant Jubilee Walaun, initially arrived in Port Moresby on official duty with the Department of Provincial and Local Level Government Affairs.

 

They took the opportunity to visit the City Hall and other government agencies.

City Manager Ravu Frank warmly received the delegation and expressed his gratitude for the visit.

He assured the delegation of NCDC's willingness to provide the requested information and support beyond that.

 

During the meeting, which included Director for Sustainability Simon Vai, Director Finance Edith Laufa, Director for Community and Social Services Janet Haua, Revenue Manager Moreen Karagu, and Senior Waste Officer Vivianne Morofa, valuable information was shared.

 

Town Mayor Bonga expressed his satisfaction with the fruitful discussion, thanking City Manager Frank and his team.

He acknowledged the relevance of the information provided by NCDC for the needs of revenue and waste management in their town.

 

The Kokopo-Vunamami Urban Town Authority joins a growing list of representatives from towns and sister provinces seeking NCDC's expertise in delivering essential municipal services to rate payers.
