GOVERNOR OF GUANDONG PROVINCE, CHINA, ARRIVES IN PORT MORESBY
Governor Wang Weizhong of Guandong Province in China and his delegation arrived in Port Moresby yesterday (Thursday), marking a significant moment in the growing relationship between the two regions. The delegation was warmly welcomed at the airport by NCD Governor Hon. Powes Parkop and officials from PNG Foreign Affairs.
Guandong Province, known as China's "economic powerhouse," boasts the fastest-growing economy among China's thirty-one provinces. Located on the southern coast, the province is home to Shenzhen City, which holds sister-city status with Port Moresby. With a population exceeding 128 million people, Shenzhen City stands as the most populous city province in China.
This visit signifies the importance attached to the growing relationship between Port Moresby and Guandong Province of China. It presents a valuable opportunity to explore potential collaborations, deepen cultural exchange, and foster mutually beneficial partnerships.
