Welcome to PNG and Amazing Port Moresby, our wantok and wan solwara. Our Melanesian brother, Prime Minister of Fiji.

A nineteen-gun salute by the Papua New Guinea Defence Force honoured the arrival of Hon. Sitiveni Rabuka to Port Moresby this afternoon.

Deputy Prime Minister, Hon. John Rosso; Governor of NCD, Hon. Powes Parkop; Minister for Internal Security, Hon. Peter Tsiamalili; Minister for Public Service, Hon. Joe Sungi; Police Commissioner, David Manning; PNGDF Commander Major General, Mark Goina; and officials from the Foreign Affairs Department and Fiji High Commission were at the airport to receive Prime Minister Rambuka.

Our dignitaries escorted the Fijian PM amidst traditional dancers and NCD school children waving PNG and Fijian flags at the Jackson's International Airport.

Rabuka is the first leader to arrive for the Forum for India Pacific Island Cooperation (FIPIC) Summit.

The Fijian Prime Minister will be hosted tonight by his Papua New Guinean counterpart Prime Minister Hon. James Marape, in a State Dinner at the Parliament House.
