Port Moresby Nature Park

The Port Moresby Nature Park is the country’s only combined Botanical and Zoological Park and Garden dedicated to the promotion of PNG’s flora and fauna. Situated within the University of Papua New Guinea campus, Port Moresby Nature Park is one of prime tourist locations in the country. It is a haven of greenery, with two kilometres of boardwalk threading beneath a jungle canopy, green lawns, excellent wildlife displays, and a huge collection of orchids. Today, the park not only has a huge collection of plants from all over Papua New Guinea and other parts of the world but has various unique birds’ species as well including the conservation of the country’s national bird, the Bird of Paradise.
